Special Projects Manager
In 1992, Diana Frescobaldi earned a degree in Business Economics from Brown University, Rhode Island (USA). Prior to taking up a position in the family business, she worked in market research at Neilson Italia, specialising in the wine sector.
She has been with Frescobaldi since 1994, first as Purchasing Director, then, beginning in 1997, in the Marketing Department overseeing Special Projects, in particular the introduction of the dei Frescobaldi Wine Bars.
Among her responsibilities were the launching of F&F, a Brunello di Montalcino Riserva produced in collaboration with Gianfranco Ferrè, as well as the establishment of the three dei Frescobaldi Wine Bars, in the Fiumicino airport in Rome, at the domestic and international terminals, and at the dei Frescobaldi Ristorante & Wine Bar in the historical heart of Florence, behind the Piazza della Signoria.
She directs the dei Frescobaldi Retail & Restaurant project, which will entail the establishment, in Italy and abroad, of wine bars and restaurants, both Frescobaldi-owned and franchised. In October 2009 she inaugurated a dei Frescobaldi Ristorante & Wine Bar inside London’s famous Harrod’s department store.
Since late 2005 Diana Frescobaldi has served as President of the Consorzio del Laudemio, the association of producers of the highest-quality olive oil produced in Italy.
A skiing enthusiast, she is married to Luigi Maniscalco; they have two children, Alessandro (2006) and Bona (2008).
